Our penultimate day saw us drive up from a very cold St Louis up to Reims. We decided to try to find the remains of the Reims racetrack, which was last used in the sixties. It’s very strange when you drive along the main road and find that you are on what would have been the main straight of the track - grandstands on one side of the road and pit lane buildings on the other. It’s amazing that its still there, even the tunnel that runs under the main road connecting the grandstand to the pit area is intact. Its great that they have left it standing as it really is an amazing sight and far more interesting than wandering around a crumbling castle or church!!!!
