Day 9

We packed our bags and left Venice to head for Stresa on the shores of Lake Maggiore via the Monza circuit.  The drive to the track was a fairly Mini-unfriendly drive with a long section of Autostrade, but it was worth it for the blast around Monza.  Unlike the previous days poodle around Adria we managed to get well and truly up to full speed on the track and a great time was had by all!!!  After Monza we were treated to a stop-off at a BMW dealership (for the benefit of all the non-proper Mini driving teams I suppose)for some tea and cake. Then after a short blast up the Autostrade and a sharp descent we arrived at the beautiful Regina Palace in Stresa.  We were treated to another fantastic Black Tie dinner before getting some well-needed sleep.
