The Italian Job – two people, one Mini and over 3000 miles of European roads all in aid of NCH children’s charity.

In late October 2006 Paul Raynes and Becky McKay set off on their second Italian Job. After months of planning, pestering friends, family and various companies for sponsorship and weeks of preparing the Mini for its epic trip the time came to leave Northampton and head south. Here is a diary of our trip along with a few pictures.

Day 1

Our first day was just a short drive from home in Northampton to Ashford, Kent so that the next day we only had a quick drive down to Dover and onto the Ferry bound for Calais. So we loaded up the car, done the last minute checks and rolled out into some heavy traffic and some very heavy rain.
